Dr. Basela Hasan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Technology Communication (ITC) at the Arab Open University (AOU), Jordan Branch. She holds a Ph.D. degree specializing in Artificial Intelligence. Her academic research focuses on advanced machine learning architectures, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). Notably, her doctoral work contributed to computer vision through the segmentation of jackets, shirts, and ties to enhance person matching and face recognition frameworks. Currently, her research delves into the capabilities and fidelity of agentic reflective loops compared against linear baseline models.
Dr. Hasan instructs core courses and develops curricula across computer networking, programming, and educational technology.
