As part of the partnership and cooperation between Arab Open University and the Public Security Directorate, the University delivered a specialized training course entitled “Managing the Identification and Analysis of Security Threats and Risks in Business Environments Using the Boston Methodology," with the participation of a number of Public Security officers. The course was held at the Royal Police Academy.

The five-day training course was delivered by Dr. Faisal Al-Sarhan, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication at Arab Open University. The course addressed key contemporary concepts and approaches for identifying security threats, analyzing and assessing risks, and developing effective risk management strategies.

The program focused on equipping participants with the practical skills required to identify sources of threats, analyze risk levels and their potential impacts, and develop appropriate response mechanisms. These skills contribute to enhancing security preparedness and supporting informed decision-making based on sound scientific and systematic principles.

The course also included practical applications of the Boston Methodology for analyzing threats and risks in business environments, in line with the requirements of contemporary security operations.

The training course reflects Arab Open University's commitment to strengthening its partnerships with national institutions and leveraging its academic and training expertise to contribute to the development of professional competencies.

The course concluded with active engagement from the participating officers, further strengthening opportunities for continued cooperation and the implementation of joint training programs in the future.
