Arab Open University – Jordan Signs Cooperation Agreement with PDI–London to Enhance Vocational Training and Career Readiness
The Arab Open University – Jordan (AOU) has signed a cooperation and training agreement with the Professional Development Institute (PDI–London). This partnership aims to strengthen academic cooperation, vocational training, and the development of applied programs tailored to the needs of local and regional labor markets.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Professor Tahrir Hamdi, Director of AOU – Jordan, and on behalf of PDI–London by Ms. Janet Jack, the Institute’s CEO. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Anas Ghazalat, Vice President; Professor Moayad Hamidi, Director of the Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Center at the University; and Mr. Mohammad Takrouri, the Institute’s representative.
The agreement, concluded between the University’s Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Center and PDI–London, focuses on qualifying students and graduates to obtain internationally accredited professional diplomas and certificates in various financial, administrative, and vocational fields.
Key Objectives of the Agreement:
• Providing high-quality, applied training programs that serve the local community.
• Launching specialized training diplomas aligned with labor market requirements.
• Enhancing employability and building professional capacities for youth.
Professor Tahrir Hamdi emphasized the University’s pivotal role in community service and its commitment to forging strategic partnerships that prepare young people for the workforce.
From her side, Ms. Janet Jack praised the standard of education and training provided by the Arab Open University, highlighting the importance of this agreement in supporting youth through accredited professional certifications and specialized training opportunities.
Furthermore, Professor Moayad Hamidi explained that this agreement aligns with the Center’s vision to expand qualitative international partnerships and link vocational training with actual market needs, noting that these high-quality programs will significantly boost trainees' competitive edge in the job market.
