The Arab Open University – Jordan Participates in the Celebration of World Mental Health Day in Jordan
Dr. Mimas Kamour, a faculty member at the Arab Open University – Jordan and Director of the University’s Counseling Center, participated in the national celebration organized by the Jordanian Psychological Association on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, held under the theme: "Mental Health is a Universal Right – Together We Create Safe and Supportive Environments in Jordan."
The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdour, Minister of Health, and was attended by a distinguished group of academics and experts in the psychological, health, and educational fields. The program included panel discussions and scientific lectures that addressed key challenges facing the field of psychological counseling, such as counseling in the digital age, the stigma of mental illness, the psychological impacts of political violence, and other pressing societal issues.
Dr. Mimas Kamour’s participation came as part of the Arab Open University’s ongoing commitment to actively support mental health initiatives and to exchange academic and professional expertise—efforts that contribute to fostering healthier and more supportive environments across Jordan.
