Arab Open University – Jordan Participates in the Future of Media and Communication Forum
Dr. Sulafa Al-Zoubi, a faculty member at the Faculty of Media and Communication at the Arab Open University – Jordan, participated in the third edition of the Future of Media and Communication Forum, held in the capital, Amman. The event brought together a distinguished group of journalists, media professionals, and experts from Jordan and the Arab world, alongside decision-makers and representatives from prominent media institutions.
Dr. Sulafa Al-Zoubi was accompanied by a group of students from the Faculty of Media and Communication. Their participation reflects the university's ongoing commitment to involving its students in specialized events and enhancing their skills through direct engagement with media professionals and industry leaders.
The two-day forum featured rich discussions on key issues shaping today’s media landscape, including:
content creation in the age of artificial intelligence, hate speech and extremism, regional transformations and their impact on media, freedom of expression, field journalism, and improving access to information.
Dr. Al-Zoubi expressed her pleasure in taking part in the forum, noting that it served as an important platform for exchanging experiences and insights on the evolving future of media — particularly in light of rapid technological advancements and political and social changes in the region.
This participation aligns with the Arab Open University – Jordan’s efforts to strengthen its presence in media and intellectual forums both locally and regionally, and to solidify its role in supporting academic media dialogue while linking it to the professional landscape and labor market.
