A Student Delegation from the Faculty of Media at An-Najah National University Visits Arab Open University – Jordan to Strengthen Collaboration
Amman – The Arab Open University (AOU) – Jordan received a student delegation from the Faculty of Media at An-Najah National University – Palestine, in a visit aimed at exploring the university’s programs and facilities, building academic and cultural bridges between students of both institutions, and enhancing opportunities for collaboration in joint media-related events and activities.
The visit was initiated by Dr. Samar Makhnai, faculty member at the Faculty of Media and Communication. The delegation was welcomed by several AOU officials, including Dr. Ola Kittaneh, Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies; Prof. Dr. Moayyad Humaidi, Director of the Center for Training and Community Service; and Mr. Amjad Rayiq, Director of Community Engagement and Marketing.
From An-Najah National University, Dr. Fareed Abu Dhuhair, faculty member in the Department of Communication and Digital Media, and Ms. Dalal Radwan, faculty member in the same department, participated in the visit. They expressed their appreciation for the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in fostering academic communication and the exchange of expertise among educational institutions in the Arab world.
The visit included a tour of the university's facilities, covering the theater, training halls, and library, as well as student dialogue sessions that addressed potential avenues for media collaboration, joint training, media production, and student projects.
Dr. Samar Makhnai highlighted the importance of this visit in providing students with exposure to diverse educational experiences and in helping them build professional and academic relationships that contribute to skill development and a deeper understanding of the role of media in serving society.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides agreed to explore the possibility of organizing future joint events between the two faculties, with the aim of enhancing knowledge and cultural exchange between media students at both universities and opening new horizons for cooperation in media, training, and academic development.
