Arab Open University – Jordan Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with German Organization "Human Restart"
Amman – The Arab Open University – Jordan has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the German organization Human Restart, marking a significant step aimed at enhancing international academic and professional opportunities for the university's students and graduates. The agreement also seeks to broaden international collaboration in the fields of education, training, and employment.
The signing ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of prominent figures and experts from both sides, including Chairwoman of Human Restart, Ms. Seza Zabi; the organization’s CEO, Dr. Youssef Al-Anzan; Director of International Training, Dr. Hani Yousef; Chairman of the Geneva Academy for Law, Science, and Diplomacy in Switzerland, Dr. Mohammad Khair Al-Wazir; Mr. Jack Kazanji from the same academy; and Public Relations Officer, Ms. Maha Mohammad.
Representing the Arab Open University – Jordan were Professor Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, President of the University; Dr. Mufid Abu Mousa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Anas Ghazalat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Professor Dr. Moayyad Al-Humaidi, Director of the Center for Training and Community Service; and Ms. Dina Al-Ashqar from the Training Center.
The agreement aims to provide international training opportunities for AOU students at leading German companies in accordance with European standards—helping them develop their professional competencies and build international networks that will support their confident and skilled entry into the job market.
Furthermore, the agreement outlines the provision of employment opportunities for graduates in Germany, opening promising career paths in the European labor market.
The partnership also includes the implementation of a new initiative to train experts from Arab universities in the field of the green economy, in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The training will be led by experienced European trainers as part of a program scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
In this context, Professor Dr. Tahreer Hamdi affirmed that the agreement reflects the university's commitment to expanding its international partnerships to help develop the skills of its students and graduates, offering them global educational and professional opportunities. She emphasized the university’s continued dedication to providing high-quality education and preparing graduates capable of competing in various international job markets.
