Civil Defense Offers Free Awareness Courses for Students at the Arab Open University – Jordan
Professor Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, Director of the Arab Open University – Jordan, welcomed First Lieutenant Alaa Al-Sarhan, representing the Central Amman Civil Defense Directorate, at her office. The meeting discussed the possibility of offering free awareness and educational courses by the Central Amman Civil Defense to the university’s staff and students from various disciplines. These courses would cover essential topics such as first aid, evacuation, fire safety, and dealing with emergencies at home or in the workplace.
Dr. Tahreer warmly welcomed this initiative and praised the valuable cooperation extended by the Public Security Directorate – Civil Defense Department. She instructed the concerned departments at the university to coordinate and implement these courses, emphasizing their importance in spreading preventive awareness, especially among students.
