Arab Open University in Jordan Organizes an Inspiring Lecture on Life Skills and Coexistence
The administration of the Arab Open University in Jordan organized a lecture titled "Living Consciously: Life Skills and Coexistence," delivered by Dr. Falah Al-Tamimi, a consultant in psychiatry and addiction, and the director and founder of the Central Mental Health Complex, alongside specialists from the same center. The event was attended by several members of the academic and administrative staff, as well as students.
The lecture covered four essential skills: self-awareness and emotional regulation, stress management, psychological resilience, and understanding and respect. These skills aim to enhance students’ academic and personal lives, positively impacting their mental health and academic performance.
In this context, Dr. Falah Al-Tamimi stated:
"Enhancing life and coexistence skills is crucial to enabling students to face daily challenges with awareness and positivity, which directly reflects on their mental well-being and academic success."
It is worth noting that the university provides a free psychological counseling office for all students, where any student can benefit from support and guidance as needed.
This lecture aligns with the Arab Open University’s strategic vision to hold regular workshops, aiming to strengthen awareness and life skills among students, academic and administrative staff, and the local community — ultimately improving their academic and personal experiences.
