The Faculty of Media and Communication at the Arab Open University – Jordan Concludes Graduation Project Discussions
The Faculty of Media and Communication at the Arab Open University – Jordan has concluded the discussions of its students’ graduation projects, which represented the outcome of a distinguished academic and practical journey. The projects varied between scientific research and media productions, including short video productions addressing contemporary issues in the fields of media and public relations.
The graduation projects covered a wide range of topics reflecting students’ engagement with recent developments in media and public relations. أبرز these topics were persuasion and influence in public relations practices, media and the management of tourism crises, news monitoring and analysis, the role of public relations in local administration, trends in the context of technology, shared culture among nations, hackers, twinning between peoples, as well as themes related to documentation and nostalgia.
The projects were discussed under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication, Dr. Faisal Al-Sarhan, with the participation of faculty members Dr. Sulafa Al-Zoubi and Dr. Shalash Al-Zyoud. The committee expressed its appreciation for the high quality of the projects in terms of ideas, methodology, and the standard of media treatment.
Dr. Faisal Al-Sarhan emphasized that these projects reflect the faculty’s commitment to strengthening practical application alongside solid academic foundations. He noted that the faculty continuously develops its study plans in line with digital transformations and the requirements of the media labor market.
He stated: “The research and media works presented by the students reflect an advanced level of awareness and professional responsibility, and confirm the faculty’s success in preparing qualified media professionals capable of keeping pace with contemporary challenges.”
The discussion sessions witnessed wide attendance, including a number of students’ family members and faculty students, in addition to members of the academic and administrative staff of the university, in an academic atmosphere that reflected the university’s commitment to supporting its students and encouraging creativity and academic excellence.
