The Arab Open University – Jordan Participates in the 26th Arab International Conference on Information Technology (ACIT 2025)
Professor Ahmad Al-Ta’ani, a faculty member at the Faculty of Computer Studies at the Arab Open University – Jordan, participated in the 26th Arab International Conference on Information Technology (ACIT 2025), which was recently held in Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt. The conference was jointly organized by the Association of Arab Universities and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
The conference witnessed the participation of researchers and students from various Arab universities, where the latest research and applications in the field of information technology were presented. These covered areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer networks and distributed systems, computer vision, and image processing.
Professor Ahmad Al-Ta’ani presented a scientific paper entitled “Data Hiding in Encrypted Images Using Convolutional Neural Networks,” in which he discussed the development of an algorithm based on training convolutional neural networks on the statistical features of images, such as gradient magnitude and variance, with the aim of classifying suitable blocks for the embedding process.
This participation comes as part of the Arab Open University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and encouraging faculty members to take part in specialized scientific conferences, contributing to strengthening academic presence and promoting the exchange of expertise at both the Arab and international levels.
