The Arab Open University – Jordan Organizes a Mock Job Interview Day to Enhance Students’ Readiness for the Labor Market
Amman – The Arab Open University in Jordan, represented by the Student Council, organized a Mock Job Interview Day as part of the Career Pathway activities, within its ongoing efforts to enhance students’ readiness to enter the labor market and to link academic knowledge with practical application.
The event witnessed wide participation from students, who took part in simulated job interviews that reflected real workplace environments. This experience enabled them to become familiar with labor market requirements, discover their career interests, develop essential skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the criteria for successful job interviews.
The event was conducted with the participation of a human resources specialist and a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature at the university, Mr. Omar Qandeel, who shared his practical experience with students, conducted the interviews, and provided feedback and constructive guidance that contributed to developing their professional skills.
The event organizers emphasized that this initiative is part of a series of Career Pathway activities aimed at empowering students and preparing them for professional life, highlighting the importance of continuing such events due to their role in building students’ capabilities and enhancing their employment opportunities in the labor market.
