The Open University – Jordan Concludes Training Course on “STEAM Methodology in Education”
The Center for Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service at the Open University – Jordan concluded a specialized training course titled “STEAM Methodology in Education”, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop educational competencies and promote modern teaching practices.
The course targeted teachers, educators, and students of education faculties, aiming to equip them with the skills to apply the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in designing and implementing lessons and educational projects in innovative ways.
The training covered several key topics, including an introduction to the STEAM methodology, problem-solving foundations, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and design thinking in education.
The course was distinguished by its practical nature, featuring interactive workshops, group activities, exploratory experiments, and design thinking applications, in addition to the use of modern technological tools such as Kahoot, ClassPoint, Padlet, Google Forms, and Google Docs.
The training was delivered by Ms. Attef Al-Sanea, a certified instructional designer and developer with over 16 years of experience in curriculum design and teacher training, and a recognized expert in robotics education and STEAM methodology.
This course comes as part of the Open University – Jordan’s strategic plan—implemented through the Center for Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service—to qualify and enhance the capacities of professionals working in the education sector.
