Open University – Jordan Students Included in the National Initiative to Access the Paid Version of Google Gemini for Free
Amman – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced a collaboration with Google, as part of the National Council for Future Technology initiatives, to grant all university students across the Kingdom free access for one year to the paid version of Google Gemini, one of the most advanced generative artificial intelligence tools.
Through this initiative, students of the Open University – Jordan can register and benefit from Gemini’s advanced services in research, learning, and content creation.
Students will have access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which includes specialized learning features such as deep research capabilities, content, text, image, and video generation, in addition to the NotebookLM tool—useful for researchers—and 2 terabytes of storage space on Google Drive and Google Photos.
All university students in Jordan aged 18 and above can register to obtain a free one-year subscription starting from the registration date and before
December 9, through the following website:

The university affirmed that such national initiatives contribute to enhancing students’ digital skills and support its strategic direction toward integrating artificial intelligence tools into teaching and learning.
