Faculty members at The Open University of Jordan participated in a specialized workshop on writing research project proposals, supported by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation.
Dr. Ola Kattan, Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies; Dr. Samar Maknai from the Faculty of Media and Communication; Dr. Sani Al‑Khasawneh from the Faculty of Education; and Dr. Riham Al‑Duhi from the Department of Multimedia Technology and Graphics took part in the specialized workshop titled "Writing Proposals for Research Projects", organized by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation to support scientific research as part of the 2025 Scientific Research Support Program.
This participation follows a previous introductory workshop that was recently held on campus, which aimed to acquaint researchers with the mechanisms for applying for funding for their scientific projects and to present the available support opportunities for developing applied research with societal impact.
During the workshop, the Foundation’s team delivered a detailed presentation on the application conditions and procedures, noting that funding can reach up to 20,000 Jordanian dinars per project. The presentation also highlighted the prioritized research themes and opened the floor for discussion, allowing participants to ask questions—thus enhancing their chances of securing the necessary support.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their deep appreciation to the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation for its continuous support of scientific research. They affirmed The Open University of Jordan’s commitment to promoting applied research and empowering researchers to submit projects that serve the community and address national needs.
