The Arab Open University – Jordan welcomed a group of 10th-grade students from Digital Directions Schools on an orientation visit organized by the Student Affairs Department, aimed at introducing the students to the university, broadening their understanding of higher education, and exploring future-oriented academic fields.
The visit included an introductory workshop on Artificial Intelligence, along with a presentation about the British BTEC education system adopted by the university, highlighting its key advantages in enhancing educational quality and bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Students were introduced to the university's various academic programs, which are closely aligned with labor market demands and are distinguished by modern curricula and degrees recognized both locally and internationally. The university also arranged a comprehensive campus tour, including classrooms, laboratories, the library, and academic support centers—giving students a close-up experience of the university's learning environment.
Dr. Mufid Abu Mousa, Vice Director for Academic Affairs, stated:
"Hosting this group of students reflects the university’s social responsibility in raising awareness among the younger generation about the importance of early academic planning and familiarizing them with future-focused disciplines such as artificial intelligence. We continuously strive to be an open platform for students from all educational stages to help them build their academic and career awareness from an early age."
At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, the University Director, welcomed the students and presented commemorative gifts to all participants as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement to continue exploring their future academic paths.
This event is part of a series of initiatives organized by the university to strengthen its engagement with local schools and to inspire students to explore their potential and choose educational pathways that best suit their interests and ambitions.
