The Arab Open University – Jordan, in collaboration with the Higher Population Council, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, Director of the University, organized an event to launch and promote the “Darbi” Electronic Knowledge Platform on Youth Reproductive Health. The event took place on campus and was attended by a number of students, faculty members, and administrative staff.
This event is part of national efforts to raise youth awareness on reproductive health issues and to empower them with access to reliable, evidence-based information that is culturally sensitive. The event introduced the “Darbi” platform—an initiative launched by the Higher Population Council—aimed at equipping Jordanian youth with the knowledge and information necessary to make healthy and responsible life decisions.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Anas Ghazalat, Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, who emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the local community. He noted the university’s continuous commitment to providing a comprehensive learning environment that combines academic excellence with community awareness and engagement.
The event featured interactive presentations on the platform’s content and usage, alongside open discussions with students, who showed great interest in the topics addressed. Informational brochures were distributed, and detailed guidance was provided on how to register and engage with the platform.
