Faculty of Education at the Arab Open University – Jordan Organizes Workshop on Test Construction Methods
The Practical Education Program at the Faculty of Education, Arab Open University – Jordan, held an online workshop focused on electronic test construction methods and the development of a test blueprint, presented by Dr. Sameer Al-Sous and Dr. Basel Abu Fouda.
The workshop covered several key topics, including techniques for constructing both objective and essay-type tests, how to prepare a test blueprint (table of specifications), and methods for analyzing and interpreting test results. The aim was to enhance students’ skills in scientifically sound test design and evaluation.
The workshop was met with great enthusiasm by students, given the critical importance of assessment design in preparing 21st-century educators. Test construction is considered a fundamental skill in the educational process.
This workshop is part of a series of training sessions and workshops planned throughout the academic year, aligning with the university’s strategic plan to develop student competencies and prepare them to engage with the latest educational and assessment methodologies.
