Arab Open University Hosts Al-Naser Modern School Students for an Orientation Tour
Arab Open University (AOU) welcomed tenth-grade students from Al-Naser Modern Schools for an orientation visit aimed at introducing them to the university’s academic programs and educational services.
Dr. Mufid Abu Mousa, Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, highlighted the university’s distinctive features, including its diverse academic programs and high-quality educational services, positioning AOU as an ideal destination for students seeking a superior higher education experience. He also provided guidance on selecting academic disciplines aligned with students’ interests and abilities.
During the visit, the students met with Professor Tahrir Hamdi, the University Director, who emphasized the importance of choosing a field of study that aligns with their personal interests and capabilities. She also underscored the university’s commitment to academic support, helping students achieve their educational and professional aspirations.
The department of Media hosted Ms. Safaa Al-Rumahi from ARIJ (Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism). She delivered an awareness lecture on the significance of investigative journalism and its societal role. The session introduced the fundamentals of investigative journalism, the essential skills of investigative reporters, and featured real-life examples of successful investigative reports conducted by ARIJ.
The visit concluded with a campus tour, during which students explored various faculties, departments, and laboratories. At the end of the tour, commemorative gifts were distributed to the visiting students.
