The director of AOU Dr. Mohammad Rasool Qtaishat signed an agreement with the General Manager of Cairo Amman Bank, Kamal Al-Bakri. This agreement will lead to change ID cards for students, lecturers, and staff into multi-use smart cards.
The agreement aims to add quality services to the cardholder including online payment and secure financial operations through the Internet under the supervision of the company creating cards as well as global and local payment services.
The director stressed the need to keep updated to serve students and lecturers by saving time and effort. In addition, the smart card will be used on campus as an identification card to pay university fees and pay for university facilities that have point-of-sale devices. Also, for university scholarships, daily wages, and balances by charging the cards.
The university was keen to serve students even off-campus in cooperation with Cairo Amman Bank through online purchases and the possibility of using it for purchase and cash withdrawals at points of sale and ATMs as an electronic payment card "prepaid". The card can also be filled with cash by the cardholder through Cairo Amman Bank branches inside Jordan.
It is worth knowing that the card can be used locally and internationally.
