Announcement Issued by the Deanship of Student Affairs Arab Open University / Jordan
On the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab Open University – Jordan is pleased to announce to its dear students the launch of a Public Speaking Competition, which aims to develop students’ skills in Arabic oratory and public speaking, and to enhance their self-confidence in addressing audiences and expressing themselves in correct and impactful Standard Arabic.
Conditions for Participation:
Preparing a short speech ranging between 150–300 words, equivalent to one to one and a half pages.
Delivering the speech in front of an audience within a maximum duration of 3 minutes.
Reading from a paper during delivery is not permitted; however, the use of brief bullet points to help organize ideas is allowed.
Commitment to using error-free Standard Arabic.

Prizes:
First Prize: 100 JOD
Second Prize: 50 JOD
The winners will be honored during the Founder's Day Ceremony held by the University at the university building, Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamdan Theater, on (20/12/2025) at 1:00 PM.
