📢 Announcement for Students
Issued by the Student Affairs Department – Arab Open University / Jordan
The Student Affairs Department at the Arab Open University – Jordan encourages all students to participate in the "Salim Al-Nahhas Short Story Award," organized by the Jordanian Writers Association – Madaba Branch, with support from the family of the late writer Salim Al-Nahhas.
🏆 Award Conditions:
The applicant must be a Jordanian citizen and not a member of the Jordanian Writers Association or any similar unions or associations.
The first, second, and third prizes will be awarded to the top three short stories selected by the judging panel.
Participants must submit a short story adhering to the standard conventions of the genre.
Participants must include their CV, a copy of their ID, phone number, address, and email address along with the short story.
Nomination for the award is personal.
The first prize is 500 Jordanian Dinars, the second prize is 350 Dinars, and the third prize is 200 Dinars.
The submission period is from April 20, 2025, to May 20, 2025.
Submissions should be in Word format.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony held in Madaba in memory of the late writer Salim Al-Nahhas. The location and program of the event will be announced after the judging panel completes its work and the administrative body of the Madaba branch of the association approves the results.
