Dr. Diala J. Ershaid is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of
Business Studies at Arab Open University, where they have been a faculty member
since 2023. Dr. Ershaid obtained their Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Accounting
from Zarqa University, their Master's (M.S.) degree in Accounting and Finance
from The Hashemite University, and their Ph.D. in Accounting and Auditing from
University Utara Malaysia (UUM).
Before joining the Arab Open University, Dr. Ershaid served as a
lecturer at the College of Economics and Business at Qordoba, the University of
Zarqa in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and King Abdulaziz University in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2014. During this period, she held the position of Head of the Accounting Department at the Ministry of Justice- Court of First
Instance from 2006 to 2010.
Dr. Ershaid has numerous publications in the fields of accounting
and finance. Her research interests include Internal Control Systems and
Manipulation, Auditing, Management Accounting Practices, Corporate Governance
Mechanisms and their Performance, and Market Growth.
She has taught many accounting courses for diploma and bachelor’s
programs, for regular and distance learning students (e-learning). Dr. Ershaid
also attended many workshops and seminars in the field of accounting, management,
and research development.
My own Teaching Philosophy can be summarized by help produce
holistic human capital that contributes to the nation’s development and
industrial competitiveness.

Overall, my teaching experience can be summarized by the Ability in
teaching Accounting courses, Research training for academic and financial
purposes.
My research activities provide me with a good knowledge of using
analysis software for academic purposes (e.g. STATA, SPSS, PLS 3). Good
knowledge of research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed method) as well
as knowledge in research publications and journals ranking. I have successfully
completed numerous administrative projects, including curriculum development,
and preparing to create proposed schedules for academic courses. I'm a creative individual, constantly
learning and aspiring to inspire others. With excellent social skills, an open
mind, and a positive attitude, I actively support my colleagues. Teamwork is
crucial in my job, and I thrive in collaborative environments.
