The Arab Open University – Jordan held a graduation ceremony to honor participants in the Human Resources Management Competency Training Program and distribute their certificates. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prof. Tahrir Hamdi, Director of the Arab Open University – Jordan, and was attended by Prof. Moayad Al-Humaidi, Head of the Training and Community Service Center, Mr. Nidal Shalabi, the program trainer and Chairman of APHRA’s Administrative Board, as well as a number of academic staff members and program participants.

The implementation of the program forms part of the Arab Open University’s ongoing efforts, represented by the Training and Community Service Center, to provide applied training programs that contribute to developing participants’ professional competencies, enhancing their readiness to enter the labor market, and enabling them to respond effectively to its evolving requirements.

Delivered by Mr. Nidal Shalabi, the program aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in human resources management. The training covered a range of key areas, including the fundamentals of human resources management, recruitment and talent acquisition, job analysis and job description development, employee performance appraisal, and conflict management in the workplace.

The program witnessed notable participation, with 61 participants completing the program. This reflects the growing interest among students and members of the community in developing their professional competencies in human resources management and enhancing their preparedness for the demands of the labor market.

Prof. Tahrir Hamdi emphasized the importance of applied training programs in bridging academic knowledge and professional practice, as well as in strengthening the skills of students and graduates. She commended the efforts of the Training and Community Service Center and the trainer in designing and delivering a training program that responds to the actual needs of the labor market.

For his part, Prof. Moayad Al-Humaidi explained that the program forms part of the Center’s commitment to providing high-quality and sustainable training opportunities that enable participants to acquire practical, applicable knowledge and skills, thereby supporting their professional development and enhancing their employment prospects.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were presented to the program graduates. The University also honored the Arab Human Resources Professionals Association (APHRA), represented by its Chairman, Mr. Nidal Shalabi, in recognition of the Association’s role in supporting professional training and development and strengthening collaboration in the field of human resources competency development.
