Professor Tahrir Hamdi, the Director of the University, welcomed Dr. Issa Al-Masarwa, HPC Secretary-General, during an official visit aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation between the university and the council in line with achieving sustainable development goals. The meeting was attended by Professor Moayyad Homidi, Head of the Training and Community Service Center, and Ms. Rola Ghnaim from the Quality Assurance Department.
During the visit, the two parties discussed ways to collaborate in various fields, with a focus on the services and efforts provided by the Higher Population Council to support sustainable development in the Kingdom. It was also agreed to organize a training workshop for university students on the " Darbi" platform, which aims to raise awareness among youth and introduce them to the tools and resources available to them in education and health.
On another note, the importance of promoting health awareness within the local community was addressed. An agreement was made to organize a comprehensive awareness campaign on sexual and reproductive health, aimed at promoting health culture across various societal sectors.
This visit comes as part of strengthening the partnership between higher education institutions and the Higher Population Council to achieve sustainable development and provide an educational and health environment that supports both students and the community at large.
