Amman – The Open University – Jordan organized a welcoming event for its new students for the 2025/2026 academic year, attended by Prof. Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, President of the University, along with the university’s vice presidents, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the Directors of Admissions & Registration and Information Technology departments.
The event aimed to introduce new students to the university’s academic and technological systems and services, answer their inquiries, and provide guidance to ensure a successful and fruitful start to their university journey.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by Prof. Dr. Tahreer Hamdi, who expressed her joy at welcoming the new students to the university community. She emphasized that the university is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment that supports academic excellence and fosters students’ critical and creative thinking skills.
University vice presidents and department heads then presented a detailed overview of registration procedures, academic advising, and the range of electronic services available to students.
This event is part of the university’s broader plan to prepare new students academically and psychologically, and to strengthen their connection with the university community, ensuring their active engagement in campus life and supporting their path toward success and achievement.
