Arab Open University – Jordan Honored for Its Contribution to the “Saqia Al-Ma” Initiative Supporting Tawjihi Students
The Education Directorate of Qasbat Amman recognized the Arab Open University – Jordan for its outstanding role in the “Saqia Al-Ma” (Water Supply) initiative. This initiative provided bottled drinking water to General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) students during their exams, ensuring a healthy and safe environment inside the exam halls.
Representing the university at the ceremony were Dr. Anas Ghazzalat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Mr. Amjad Rayiq, Head of Community Engagement & Marketing. The event was attended by Ms. Iman Al-Tahrawi, Director of Education; Ms. Sanaa Abu Mayala, Director of Educational Affairs; and Mr. Yahya Alwan, Head of the Examinations Department.
The recognition also included several educational figures and community supporters, such as Ms. Fatima Mamoun, Chair of the Development Council, along with numerous school principals and teachers.
This participation is part of the university's initiative to support Tawjihi students during the summer session exams by distributing water and offering moral and logistical assistance in collaboration with the Education Directorates.
At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Iman Al-Tahrawi praised the university’s efforts, underlining the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and the local community to serve students and create a suitable exam environment.
