Arab Open University – Jordan Holds Orientation Workshop for New Students in the Summer Term
The Student Affairs Department at Arab Open University – Jordan organized an orientation workshop for newly enrolled students in the summer semester, as part of a series of awareness events aimed at familiarizing them with university systems and academic services.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Mufid Abu Mousa, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, who welcomed the new students and provided them with practical guidance on using the university’s electronic systems, including the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Student Information System (SIS). He emphasized the importance of positive interaction between students and faculty members, noting that the university aims to foster a motivating learning environment through academic and psychological support, along with modern educational tools to enhance the learning experience.
Also participating in the workshop were Dr. Samir Al-Sous, Dean of Student Affairs, and members of the Student Council, who offered essential support to the incoming students and answered their questions. Their involvement helped facilitate the students’ integration and familiarization with university systems, reinforcing engagement between students and university administration.
This initiative reflects Arab Open University’s ongoing commitment to supporting students’ educational journeys by providing a campus environment that promotes academic success and excellence.
