The Arab Open University – Jordan Launches the Inaugural Alumni Club Event
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab Open University – Jordan organized the first event of the University’s Alumni Club, attended by Dr. Mofeed Abu Musa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Anas Ghazalat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; and Dr. Samir Al-Sous, Dean of Student Affairs, along with several faculty and administrative staff members.
Reflecting the spirit of pride and belonging to the university, the event featured the election of the inaugural administrative board of the Alumni Club—marking a new beginning toward activating alumni roles across various community and professional fields and strengthening their ongoing relationships with the university. The club aims to organize activities and events specifically for university graduates, while providing platforms for networking and exchanging experiences and knowledge.
The following individuals were elected to the Alumni Club’s administrative board:
Tamara Abu Khreibeh – Chairperson
Baha Al-Zaidanin – Vice Chairperson
Ali Al-Fakhoury – Secretary
Haitham Amer – Treasurer
Jamal Al-Khatib – Secretary of Culture & Training Committees
Fayza Al-Fawa’ir – Secretary of Community Development Committees
Islam Sukkar – Secretary of Communication & Support Committees
Dr. Mofeed Abu Musa stated that the club will support the academic and professional journeys of alumni by creating an effective networking platform that enables the exchange of experiences and the establishment of cultural, community, and professional initiatives.
Dr. Anas Ghazalat expressed his pride in the university’s graduates, confirming that this initiative marks a pivotal step toward building a strong and sustainable relationship between alumni and the educational institution.
Dr. Samir Al-Sous, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized in his speech that founding the Alumni Club represents a qualitative step toward strengthening the connection between the university and its alumni and enhancing the spirit of belonging and loyalty.
This event underlines the Arab Open University – Jordan’s commitment to keeping track of its graduates’ journeys and providing an institutional framework that amplifies their contributions to society while fostering a sustained partnership between alumni and the university.
