Reception Ceremony for Newly- Registered Students for the Academic Year 2021 / 2022
Under the patronage of the Director of the Arab Open University / Jordan, Dr. Muhammad Rasoul Qtaishat , the Student Affairs Department organized on Saturday, October 23, 2021, an induction meeting for new students registered in the first semester of the academic year 2022/2021.
In his welcome speech, he congratulated the new students on their acceptance and welcomed their joining the university family. Dr. Qtaishat also emphasized the open door policy that the university administration follows with its students and graduates, and indicated that the university's administration and all its administrative and academic departments will work hard to support students during their university journey. He also pointed out that the university is not only an educational space, but also it helps to refine the student's personality in line with the requirements of life and the labor market.
In her role, the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Tahrir Hamdi, presented her speech to the students, indicating the importance of holding this meeting at the beginning of each semester to find out the most important matters that the new student needs related to his academic career, and she also spoke about the most important responsibilities and duties that students must abide by.
In turn, the Student Affairs and Guidance Officer, the Admissions and Registration Officer, the Computer Center Officer and the Library Officer presented their welcoming speech, reviewing the most important information and instructions related to each department that the student needs during his/her study period.
The meeting was attended by heads of academic departments and a number of faculty members at the university to answer students' inquiries about the academic programs they have enrolled in.
The ceremony also included a number of events, most notably the presence of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to raise awareness of breast cancer on the occasion of the pink month of October, and the Mentor Arabia office introduced the students to the office's activities and how to volunteer with them in their various extracurricular activities.
The meeting concluded with the distribution of the educational bag for the students, and a tea party.
