Cooperation Agreement between the Jordan News Agency and the Arab Open University
The Jordan News Agency (Petra) and the Open University signed a joint cooperation agreement, to contribute to the opportunity of journalism and media and to supplement the capabilities of students at the university, qualify them and raise the level of graduates.
During the signing of the agreement, Hijazin stressed Petra's keenness to find strategic and cooperative partnerships with various national institutions, especially the academic ones, especially those concerned with teaching media in all its disciplines and fields, and investing in the press and media competencies and expertise in the agency, in enhancing the skills and capabilities of students and researchers in The fields of media in the university and other Jordanian universities, as well as various national institutions and ministries. And his colleague Hijazin indicated that the agency's training center provides annually more than 600 training opportunities, available to various students of public and private Jordanian universities, as well as cadres of public relations and media departments in various government institutions and agencies, as well as many training opportunities that are available to sector employees.
In turn, Dr. Qatashiat expressed the university's pride in this cooperation with the agency, praising the professionalism, accuracy and objectivity that characterizes it in covering national events and occasions, and its complete alignment with the issues of the homeland and the citizen and the interest of the Jordanian state.
He expressed his hope that the agreement would contribute to raising the capabilities of the university's graduates of journalism and media students, and qualifying them to engage in the labor market, equipped with media and professional journalistic work skills and committed to professional and ethical standards for journalistic work.
