An awareness lecture on copyright and publications law for students of journalism and media
Yesterday, Saturday, the Department of Journalism and Media at the Arab Open University / Jordan held an awareness lecture on copyright and the law of publications through visual communication technology, presented by legal expert Abdul Rahman Al-Sharari, and the session was moderated by the coordinator of the Press and Media Department at the University, Dr. Sulafa Al-Zoubi.
The students participated in an interactive way with the awareness session by asking questions and listening to the legal opinion.
Al Sharari talked about the Publications Law and the criminal responsibility for publications that the publisher and editor-in-chief bear, and he also spoke about the specialized court of publications.
He also touched on the law of crimes in the televised and broadcast media, which often embodies defamation, demeaning or sectarian incitement, and also clarified when the presenter or broadcaster is a participant in the crime.
It is noteworthy that the lecturer is a lawyer specializing in journalists and media issues and has several participants in talk shows in the Jordanian audio-visual and readable media.
